It is now just under two weeks before I leave my job and it's suddenly dawning on me that I'll be saying cheerio to some great people very soon now.

This is Emma, or blipper luther, who has the same role as me but on our sister newspaper.

It was a rare pleasure to have her working in our Bristol office today because she now normally has to work 50 miles further north.

We used to have a good laugh before the reorganisation, so it was a bit like old times today.

It was also great to have another old colleague, Grace, in Bristol. She, too, has been moved.

Hopefully, once the curtain comes down on my career at this company, I'll be able to stay in touch with these lovely people and many others.
