Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

More Faces of Fiona #44

We are exhausted! Did not even try for the "camping bed" last night so she slept with us, but at least she didn't get up. She's 2 years old today - I could have blipped her eating the cupcake before breakfast or working the ipad with a baby bottle of milk and a pack of diapers nearby, or playing with her new "cut the fruit" game or blowing out 2 candles on the cupcake tonight with her cousins Nik and Oskar or hugs with her family when they came to get her about 7:30 after driving home from Vancouver BC. but I'm wanting simple and quiet. So here she is having a snack at the Pacific Science Center with the Alexander Liberman steel sculpture "Olympic Iliad" just outside. It's always closed on tuesday, our usual day with Fiona, and today was miserably rainy windy and cold so we thought we'd go there for our outing. We got there at 10:23 and there were lines to park and a line out the door! EEK! What have we done? Apparently the imax movie about chasing tornados was sold out and the director was here ---well that didn't explain the hoards of little kids. She had a good time running all over and shrieking with delight at the dinosaurs and the big bugs that have scared other kids... we were happy to leave the crowd and come home for naptime. Pizza and cupcakes with the cousins, aunt and uncle and then more when her parents showed up. A good day for turning two!
Now I have to sit and recover.....it might take awhile....
