Blair Atholl / Glen Tilt

wooo! What a great day! Took the 9:30 train from Edinburgh to Blair Atholl for a day's walking in the highlands with Meg, Jenny, Fay and Topaz. Took a route up next to the river gorge and had numerous diversions down to the river on paths that ended up going nowhere, so involved a hectic scrambles back up steep sided gorge edges. Got some evils from the girls but we all survived.

After the walk headed into Blair Atholl of a pint at one of the 2 pubs not recommended by the locals we asked - and ended up in the closest one, a strange bar with about 6 people in it at the bar watching the football. Had a drink before the manager kindly offered to give us a lift the 6 miles down the road to Pitlochry, telling us to avoid 'Fishers' at all costs and pointing us in the direction of a nice bar with a water wheel outside. Had a tea before catching the train back to Edinburgh.

Same again next month? I think so!
