Muddy Waters

I made the most of a short burst of sunshine this morning to take a photo of just how muddy our usually beautiful blue water is. It's overcast again now but not raining at least. The surfers aren't put off by the muddy water - there were quite a few out on all the beaches - I'd be a bit worried though about the good camouflague it gives the sharks. The muddy water goes almost to the horizon and kilometres both north and south - the river flows out with such force when in flood.

We are feeling very lucky to have so far escaped major flooding - our friends SW Queensland are preparing for another major flood - they had one this time last year as well that went through a lot of homes that have never been flooded in living memory. Our Aussie weather is certainly topsy turvey at the moment.
