Time Lapse Tidy

A wee bit of fun with the biggest bloody nightmare challenge of Operation Flat Clean.

The lounge was the last refuge of the lazy me and while that bad boy is hopefully gone, the thought of cleaning this place was just am ugh! too far!!!

18:41

Arrived home after picking up the munchies for tomorrow from the shops and set up the camera. Here is the challenge. My front room. The major areas of concern. The coffee table (hidden under the pile of dvd's) and the dining table (in the back with a layer of mail, coins and other crap).

19:44

Not much progress after the first hour, which was mostly taken up with dinner. However, a small start to clearing away the dvd's has been made and the ironing board put away.

20:45

In the next hour, the dvd's were dusted and taken away. The first of the mail had begun to be sorted. The keepers were dumped on the sofa. Bags and boxes for recycling and rubbish were set up in the dead space between the coffee table and the dining table. The PS3 was warmed up by then too. Mendelssohn's symphony #3 was playing.

21:48

By now, the coffee table is cleared... on top! Started to clear out the baskets and dookets in the table. Hard going. So much crap but I've decided to be brutal. Clearing out anything and everything that I'm not going to need.

22:49

Mendelssohn has been replaced by Cyndi Lauper. The coffee table is completely cleared and the first wander down to the recycling bins ooutside the flat (yep, it's that far) to empty the bags. Polish and kitchen roll out to clean the coffee table.

23:52

A wee break. A diet coke and a wee catch up with comments. Yes, some sneaky peeps bypassed the switch off. Tsk, tsk! :- ) The attention turned to the dining table.

00:50

The dinging table is cleared inside the hour. Not bad, although I'd given up on separating the recycling material and dumped the less obvious stuff in the bin. This was me done for the night and the camera switched off.

Not done however. A second trip to the recycling bins and then I grabbed the two remaining crates of empty bottles and dumped them in the boot of the car, popped up to the bottle bank at the shops and dropped them in. Got back here and.. I have no idea where the last 3 hours have gone! :- ) A wee bit of time putting together this composite, a couple of emails written and now it's time for bed.

Still to do.

1. Make the meat sauce for the lasagne.
2. Tidy out the shelves.
3. Box up the blu-rays.
4. Polish and Vacuum.
5. Put out the nibbles.
6. One last trip to the recycle and litter bins.

Somewhere in among all this I need to blip!

It's do-able but an early start. The guys arrive at 4pm for the Calcutta Cup match. Kick off at 5pm.

Happy Days! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Today is hopefully the last day of no comments - well maybe tomorrow too. But I'll definitely be back up again on Sunday. Please bear with me and thanks for stopping by... again! Thanks so much to you all for continuing to visit even though I've not really been successful keeping in touch with you guys! Booo to me!
