Ballet Class

2years 106days

We went to a new ballet school today that a friend had recommended. Katie was beyong excited about going dancing. And the class lived up to expectations. It was pricey, but worth it. She had a lot of fun, shy for quite a bit, but still skipped to join lines, circles and things too. They did a nice warm up, then some ballet for most of the time. Katie loved the stretches - familiarity from gymnastics, I think - and the "good toes, naughty toes" dance. She got the hang of several of the pieces very quickly and looked really proud when she could join in. They did a few action songs and then it was ten minutes of tap. Next week she gets her new tap shoes. She'll probably also get her new pink leotard as she was desperate for pink like all the other girls, as well as "noisy shoes".

After ballet it was Harrison's 3rd birthday party. We got to where it was a little early, so wandered round some shops. Katie found some pompoms that she really took to, so walked round the shops waving them and dancing. The party was great. It was almost all our friends from the village, which was fabulous. They had a ball, with almost free reign of the softplay centre.

We've had a lot of fun. She zonked straight after the party, giving Mummy time to sort the garage ready for it to store packed boxes. So now I just need to get on and do some of that. I'm going to start on the lounge tonight, see how far I get!
