Keeping cool

Today was very hot and humid...one of those days when I don't feel like doing much of anything. Aside from finishing some laundry, I have been reading an interesting book by Elizabeth Gilbert titled eat, pray, love (subtitled One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia).

Out to a favorite restaurant this evening for a plate of spaghetti and a glass of wine and for dessert...a chocolate peanut butter ice cream cone. A strange combination I know, but an ice cream cone once a week is an indulgence and a special treat on a hot day like today.

The girls in the picture have found their own favorite way to keep cool. That water looked pretty tempting to me. There are probably as many ways to keep cool as there are blippers. How about you? What's your approach to keeping cool on a hot summer day?
