When you have no hills.....

We live on the flattest part of the country. The Fens. Not much good for sledging... Unless... You have a seven year old with an engine! Little Farmer tied his sisters alleges behind his trike and towed them up and down the lanes for a couple of hours, they were tied one after the other like a train with carriages. So much fun.
We also had great fun with the ponies in the snow. We didn't ride but took them out for a walk which was great as the dog walkers didn't dare venture down our lanes in the snow so it was beautifully quiet. Sausage-roll rolled more than usual and was bucking and leaping a lot.

It felt important to distract the children and have fun. Unfortunately it's. Or so easy to distract myself or the farmer from the loss of Pugly. She loved the snow.
