Candlelit.

A lot of back-Blipping to do here; we had such a wonderful holiday in Nethy Bridge, and the cabin couldn't have been any more perfect!

I was at work all morning, but we managed a quick lunch at home before we drove the 150 miles to the cabin (just outside Grantown). A tiny little wooden lodge in the forest (capercaillie territory!) awaited us, with the wood burning stove already lit and smelling amazing. It was dropping dark as we arrived, so we just had time to be shown round by one of the owners and led to the outside toilet so that we weren't wandering around in the dark trying to find it later! The cabin had no electricity or hot water, but rainwater was available from a tap when the pipes weren't frozen. We managed well on the first night, and cooked a lovely Burns' supper on the small gas stove; this Blip is Mike and I sitting by candlelight enjoying our supper!

Afterwards we played a game of Scrabble (M won by a mile!) and had a glass or two of wine before falling into our box-bed to watch the stars through the skylight (a wonderful touch)... The sky was as clear as glass and there was zero light pollution so the views were stunning.
