Roots

Been messing about for days trying to capture this image, finally think it works best in black and white. A Hyacinth, grown to be in full bloom at Christmas, still hasn't flowered but made copious amounts of roots. It went into the airing cupboard, then on the kitchen window sill, no idea what went wrong. Losing my touch.

Came across this quote:
"The roots of true achievement lie in the will to become the best that you can become."
Seems to me if you concentrate too much on roots, you can fail to blossom.
