Travels With 4 Wheel Fred

By HRGibbon

Oh, It's A Hard Life

Really haven't done much today, apart from light the fire as soon as I got up and tried not to freeze my assets off.

Fred, my little car, had a nice visit from Andy the Autoglass man, to fix three chips on the windscreen. He'd come all the way across from Newcastle to Carlisle to help out. He timed it just right as the snow was starting to fall by the time he'd got onto fixing the second chip.

Though we've had minimal snow up here, even though it was snowing heavily for most of the afternoon, it then turned to sleet, then to rain. So no chance of getting the skis out this year. I'm trying to avoid looking on facebook at all the photos from around the country showing snow, snow and more snow, when we haven't got any to speak of. :(

Meg doesn't mind the lack of snow, as long as there is a plentiful supply of doggy biscuits and some chicken now and again all is good. This blip shows her current sleeping location, her new bed and a blanket too. I was given the blanket (and two other pure wool ones) last year by one of our neighbours for the beagle pups to sleep on, but it was too good to let them chew. So it's been on our sofa and somehow has ended up with Meg's bed.

Most things seem to end up in Meg's bed- especially socks.
