Wilsford Manor

Wilsford Manor. 6.2 miles east of Devizes, Wiltshire, UK

Well not sure I'm going to be able to keep up 1 a day of interesting images. Grabbed this shot on the journey to work.

The Building is part of the Old Wilsford Manor Estate which was owner by the late Stephen Tennant. After Stephen's death in 1987 the house and all of its belongings were sold at auction. Among the items sold were a lot of photographs by Sir Cecil Walter Hardy Beaton who was a close friend of Stephens. Take a look on the internet for some of his images. Be warned, some are of an adult nature.

I will take some more shots of the area and if I can get access, some of the Manor House itself.

If anybody has any idea what the last word on the sign should read, please let me know, I could not found out via the web at lunch time today.
