Music by the fire. Literally.

Our CU acoustic night was just about to start in the Union tonight when we were ordered to evacuate the building as a fire had started in the James Weir building next to it. Pretty serious: several fire engines called out. No more maths classes in there for a while.

Luckily Ellyn and Will grabbed a guitar on their way out. First they started their set out on the street next to the fire engines and then we relocated to the marquee directly across the road from James Weir. Not ideal but we cleared it with the police and lots of people came along who might not have otherwise and enjoyed a great evening of live music, toasties and testimonies while the action unfolded.

We are so thankful to God for the marquee and that tonight's event still went ahead. Let's hope the dramatic events of tonight won't affect the rest of Events Week too much.
