Fossil

This was inspired by one of my fellow blippers who posted a beautiful picture of a rock. I was originally a geologist (long lapsed!) and I have a great collection of rocks and minerals. This is one of my favourites, a fossil fern from the Carboniferous age. There is amazing detail in the leaves, and amazing age in the rocks. Wonderful science and art mixed!
