Early Celebration

Cynthia's birthday isn't until next week but we had an early celebration today with her son, W, and daughter, M. They both came up from Seattle on the Greyhound bus. After we picked them up at the bus terminal in Fairhaven, we all had brunch at the Old Town Cafe in Bellingham.

C ordered her birthday cake from Mount Bakery. There's hardly any flour in it -- it must be at least 90% chocolate. We each had a thin sliver of it tonight after a delicious dinner cooked by M, and will have at least one, or maybe two more pieces tomorrow. There's going to be some champagne, provided by W.

On her actual birthday, C and I will be spending the night at the Chrysalis Inn. There'll probably be more chocolate and champagne involved.
