Chimneys in Paris Cold

I love watching the chimneys across from our apartment emitting their winter smoke. This morning it was extra cold (-5C°), thus with more emissions, and they were bright in the sun.

We're in Paris 13e, and the high buildings in the rear are just short of Chinatown. I've blipped a number of variations on this view--e.g. here, and at night (with a bit of Orion--archived from 2009, when we were one floor lower, in the same apartment).

Viewed large you can just glimpse the blue/cyan construction hoist on the right, which is seen from the street in this blip. The patches of light on the nearest buildings are reflected from windows in our building (blipped a few days ago).
