St Nicholas Kirk

Saturday and the chance to have a day out. After a marginally healthier lunch than yesterday I went into the city for a visit to the Post Office. I stopped briefly at the St. Nicholas Kirk for a quick photo shoot. While standing in the path leading to the entrance I was buzzed at low altitude by a couple of seagulls, including the one which can be seen here in front of the door.

The church yard has many tombstones and monuments, none recent as the church yard is quite small and right in the centre of the city. So many memorials, some now almost illegible, to people who I fear are now largely forgotten.

The weather remains relatively warm compared with England and areas further South. There may be a price to pay later on.

The Post Office had a tolerable queue, but what would a post office be without a queue. Mission accomplished hopefully return to base with the continuing drizzle.
