There and back again

Langdon Hill

Having just finished dinner and looking at the empty bottle of red wine on the table I was feeling very mellow when I had to get up and send off my blip of the day!

Well today we have had two very good walks. This morning it was Lamberts Castle, which you may know is jinxy and myself, usual choice of morning walk. It was a nice sunny day with a coating of snow and good photographic opportunities so I came home thinking that today's shot was in the bag.

Then after lunch Val suggested a trip to Langdon Hill, a wooded area down on the coast near Golden Cap. For obvious reasons, come April and May, this is always called "Bluebell Woods". As we walked along the woodland paths today, we could see the green shoots already showing through under the trees. It is hard to imagine from this picture but in a few weeks time the area each side of the path and under the trees will be a mass of blue . So this picture is not for what we can see today but for the wonder of nature which is at this moment preparing for the wonderful show of spring flowers that is to come.
