Sheriffmuir

A bit of a fail on the de-tox/exercise front today. Oh, we all managed to get togged up in walking boots and outdoor gear, but as we drove up into the Ochil Hills to head out on some gentle hill walking, the Sheriffmuir Inn here came into view.

A big bear called Herculesused to live up there (who had appeared in James Bond and Disney films as well as TV adverts for bog roll), along with a World of Sport professional wrestler. You can't not stop off and fill Euan in with all the, well, grizzly details once that had been mentioned.

So, after an excellent two-and-a-bit course lunch we headed back outdoors, but the mood (and free-moving limbs) had gone. We stopped off to try and get some shots of the Highland Coos by the roadside but, despite Euan's best attempts to entice them over with a handful of grass, they were having none of it. Apparently Euan would like a pet Highland Coo (there was a young calf running around the field like a big dog and he said if he had one like that he would look after it, even when it did grow to be a one and a half tonne steak pie with sharp horns).

Will definitely try the walking bit again, just won't drive near any places serving food beforehand.
