It Started Down Under

Hangover Breakfast

Today I got up early because the rest of the board members did so too. They turned on the light and convinced me of helping them with putting the tables in place and breakfast ready.

Here we see the cast of our production of Jekyll & Hyde: the Musical at their breakfast tables. Young and old mix, ensemble members and big roles have fun together: the magic of On Stage is happening during the working weekend.

Today we rehearsed several things for the musical from morning until evening. While the women were rehearsing 'Bring on the Men', the men could spend some time trying on their outfits for the 'bonte avond' (it's an evening program in which people prepare a funny act to entertain the others). We already had great fun during the dressing up!

After the wraps we had for dinner, we also got a treat from our birthday cast members. One turned 40 and another had her birthday a bit earlier this week. And then at 20h00 the bonte avond started. I participated in 5 acts and watched 4 other great acts. One of the highlights of the evening was the men act in which we all dressed up as women to do a parody of one of the most famous scenes of the musical we are creating.

Once the bonte avond was over, I spent the evening with dancing, zumba, drinking and eventually jamming until 3h45. I was among the last 4 to go to bed. We did not have the energy to clean up, so I had to get up extra early the next morning to take a shower and to help cleaning up from this evening and setting up breakfast again.
