frozen river sliding

This is Jorge sliding on the frozen river (or maybe canal?) in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Its just started getting really cold here and we have seen people skating and even playing ice hockey on the rivers and lakes, and even though we don't have skates we wanted to have a go.

I am really terrible at it, I can do the run-up but I always stop just before the slippy bit, which means that I slide about half a metre, but Jorge is quite good. I took this photo when we were on our way to have dinner after a very lazy Sunday, we could walk almost the whole way from our house along the river.
