A Roof with a View

- Backblip -

Taken from the seventh floor Hutton Roof, National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh, looking over to Carlton Hill.

I really like this framing feature in the structure, giving a false window to look out across the city to the Hill and sea beyond.

I took Mum and Dad for their first visit since the refurb. It was busy due to the half term holiday, but I think they enjoyed it. We did drop by one of my favourite exhibits, the Lewis Chessmen, to find the case, as ever, covered in finger marks.

We also wandered over to Greyfriars Churchyard. A first for me, and a definite Blip stopoff on a future visit.

Back to reality on a late bus home.
