Here's some other cuteness then!

Took a field trip down to another farm today, in an area called Hawaiian Acres. The land has only recently begun to recover biologically from extensive lava flows, so the soil is still very rocky, and the entire area tends to flood during heavy rains. Consequently the land is quite cheap. We're talking 20k or less for 3 acres. Unfortunately the cheapness (and in some spots, uselessness) of the land attracts a certain element; meth has taken a firm hold of the population in the southeast. It is one of the harshest demons facing this island.

The farm we visited was itself quite beautiful and tucked away in the rainforest, and came complete with this pup. This is Mogley. He came to this land as a feral puppy, following his mother who was after the farm's chickens. After she laid waste to the coop, the puppies kept returning, and eventually they had to be rounded up and taken to the humane society. But Mogley got to stick around--he wasn't so much into eating the chickens. He's a wiley one though. He and Sas get along famously.
