House of Dust

Another lovely full day in Fife sweeping up dust. Among my other glamourous assignments today were:

- cleaning stair banisters with a toothbrush

- scraping pigeon s**t off the floors

- cleaning 4 toilets, all of which had been well 'used' by builders. Every shop in town was out of toilet brushes, so this had to be done with a dishwashing brush.

Some days my old life as a City lawyer looks positively enticing.

Still at least we managed to avoid the horrendous weather in Fife (flooding, landslides - it's like we live in a tropical paradise all of a sudden - apart from the freezing temperatures and lack of parrots.)

Nothing to do tomorrow - so here's hoping for a long sunny day...

The blip (she says, quickly remembering to get back to the point) is another emergency one, this time from the Hermitage Golf Course in Edinburgh. Will try harder tomorrow.
