Our Library.

I love the warm welcome at this small but comfortably furnished library.
It is clean and pleasantly warm, well stocked with a variety of books, audio material, newspapers both local and national. There are several computers as well.There is a well attended toddlers sing and listen to a story with Mum group.
I tend to go in for arts and crafts books, knitting, jewllery, cookery and poetry.
Over the years my two children have joined in the activities and reading incentive schemes. Acorn book club encouraged achieving bronze, silver and gold awards for reading age appropriate books and being tested by the librarian to see what they had discovered about the story-line and characters. Another Summer scheme was called Race into Space. and involved study of the planets. Maria did well and won the top prize.
I belong to the poetry group and we meet on the first Monday of each month.
The knit and natter group is very enjoyable too and we have some talented knitters.All in all, a hub of community life and a much appreciated village library.
