High Street bridge viewof houses and Pendle Hill

This afternoon there was a blue sky, sunshine and a crisp cold wind, so I enjoyed an hour in nearby woodland , taking photos of beech trees and then back to the canal with my camera and bread for the geese and ducks.
I settled on this panoramic view across High St. bridge.
It captures something of the essence of this old northern village with its rows of terraced housing , pubs, pockets of ancient woodland and bowling greens.
There is a view of Pendle Hill to the top right, and it looks marvellous on a clear sunny day.
The foreground of the picture has been earmarked for new housing, which hopefully will include a green community garden.
