Meg

Meg, as you can see is a lovely sheep dog. She is now quite old with poor sight and hearing but she still accompanies Rose and the rest of us on our morning walks.

Today we walked passed the Folly in Cottingley Woods, 6 women, two dogs and unusually a baby!
Passing the folly Baby George is being carried by his mum in a baby harness.

Instead of walking up through the fields to Lee Lane as we often do on this walk we descended through the woods to Shipley golf course.
Golf for the short sighted?

We then walked out onto Beckfoot Lane where I took this picture of Meg. She is a happy and willing dog who likes to take the lead but, as here, it is often in the wrong direction! Her owner Rose gets lots of exercise running after her as she cannot hear her commands. She had already been down to the ford when we were actually going up the hill to St Ives and here she is about to take another diversion.

It was a very spring like morning with lots of birdsong. Less than two weeks ago crossing some of the same ground we were faced with packed ice and remnants of the snow. Let's hope the cold weather predicted for Sunday is just a temporary blip.

Happy Friday everyone.
