Old Door and Ferns

A cold, sleety, snowy day! I warmed up by starting the day in the gym and then going swimming with my oldest grandson at lunchtime. I went blip hunting to Kilmuir on the Balak Isle - what a delightful place! I look at it every day across the water but had never been there before. I need to return when the weather is better.

I came across a beautiful old barn and the door had this fern growing happily out of the doorframe. I was entranced to watch 4 red kites swirling about on the updrafts. I have never seen one before so I put a photo of one in my blipfolio. It was snowing when I took the shot but you can make out that it is looking down at the ground.
