Day well spent

This is a shot of the table from our stitch and blether today. It was taken towards the end of the day when several of our members had been and gone.
The table is the reflection of a good day of lunch and chat, with cups, plates and food still out. Best of all you can see our different projects, I took my dish cloth and my turquoise arm warmers, the corner nearest the bottom was me.
We meet once a month and bring food, knitting and a sense of belonging. Our ages vary from over 80 to well under 40 with it even being pre teens when daughters and that are also in.
Our styles go from commercial and well experienced through messing and learning to a first ever hat (in red!) The yellow socks are getting new feet to replaces the old ones with holes in them. We have had slippers, hat, socks, baby jumper, scarf, gloves, dish cloth, wrist warmers and a snood today alone. The sheer differences make the group more fun. Some of our number were missing, but we rarely ever have all of us in any way, that is part of the fun :-)
I sometimes wish we met more often, but then it wouldn't mean as much too us, and we do keep each other grounded. :-)
