Rear Cogset

Today, as forecast has been a glorious, if cool day. After breakfast we went for a bike ride, it was cold in the shadow of trees and doing down some of the hills - you can feel the wind-chill at 60 km/h if you have shorts on - but overall it was great.

We don't have a helmet-cam or bracket to attach a camera to the bike, so no pictures of the trip. Other than a few road hogs in their luxury 4x4s, it was great on the country lanes, just a few walkers and horse riders out and about. Just before we got back to the village there was a kestrel hunting in the field by the lane - I think it was shopping for Sunday dinner.

When we got back to the house I thought I'd use the good light to get a few shots of the bikes and stuff in the garden. It was a bit windy and the daffs that survived the snow and frost were bobbing about quite a bit too much. Ironically this photo was taken with flash in the garage as the bike were being put to bed.

For those who care this is the rear cogset/cassette on the Specialized Sirius bike of my better half . It was her birthday present a few years ago. Her family all chipped in and gave her the money, then we went to Evans in London and I bought her the bike. Often she seems to do well like that, I buy the gift and her family pay her for it...!
