The tyre and the daffy bat

went to sea...

This child took off her coat and hat and gave them to me to carry.

Daffy bat.

It was freezing.
I was freezing.
I put the coat over my knees and shoved my hands inside her hat.

Three hours later I still haven't warmed up.

It's the last day of half term holiday for the teens but daffy bat has one more day off tomorrow. The teens are not impressed.

It's been a very quiet half term - holidaymaker-wise this week. Worryingly quiet in the shop.
But a good, active week for us as a family and family is far more important than money.

It's a shame there's a mortgage and bills to pay and food to buy because otherwise I would love this kind of life all year round.
