An Irish Guy Abroad

Retro Feel

When I got home from work today there was a distinct retro feel to the dining room. Damp clothes from the launderette draped over the clothes horse in front of the solid fuel burner. I know when I wear that check shirt again it will have that lovely aroma of the fire reminding me of my youth in the sixties of Ireland. it makes me think fondly of my grandmother "Gra" as she was known. Drying us in front of the coal fire and putting on our pyjamas which she had likewise pre-warmed on the clothes horse. I reckon she had a theory about vigorous drying and blood flow. I supposed it worked because I'm still here and I don't seem to have any problems with my circulation.
