Strange creatures in the forest

Too much snow had fallen for the itinerary to go on as planned - none of our 6 days in Bosnia followed the exact plan. First two days were supposed to be a walk to a mountain village, overnight there and another walk - but it was inaccessible so we had day walks close to Sarajevo instead. Great walks though.
The first was in the forest which was fine as it snowed (lightly) all day. A magical place with the snow on the trees forming the shapes of all sorts of strange creatures; we were also joined by a big dog who accompanied us for the whole walk. There were also prints of various animals in the snow - next day we saw wolf prints.
But here are the strangest creatures of all making their way through the forest on their snowshoes.
