Luke's Lane Mural

Overnight in Wellington. Meeting all day, with an early start. Run started in dark, and not a lot of daylight even to the end of the run.

Lots to see and enjoy. Little or nothing to photograph.

Looked out this mural in Luke's Lane in the central city (Wellington).

Not consciously related to the anniversary today of the fatal earthquake in Christchurch (this day one year ago). However, the expression on the face of this three eyed fellow could be seen to epitomise many of the emotions felt by the wonderful people of Christchurch for what is nearly 18 months since the first big one in September 2010.

S and daughter J and I have just watched the documentary produced about the period September 2010 to June 2011, It was harrowing to say the least.

Note: I have just changed a word in the third line of the fourth paragraph. I thought that to talk of the people of Christchurch as poor was totally wrong. Yes I feel sorry about what has happened to them. However, they have shown the most magnificent degree of resilience and fortitude. They truly are wonderful.
