Malahide bench

Well whaddya know: sunshine! I know it's boring, boring, boring always going on about the weather, but it really is the main topic of conversation these days. I woke to clear sky and bright sunshine,m and that's how it's remained for almost the entire day. It wasn't exactly warm, but it was pleasant enough all the same.

Nobody in their right mind could remain indoors on a day like this, so I dragged myself out mid-afternoon for (a) a breath of fresh air and (b) a blip session. Where to go? St Anne's Park? There yesterday. Dollymount/Bull Wall? Not really in the mood for sea and sand somehow. Howth? Nah, that coast road's a bummer at the best of times, and the fine weather will have made it even slower. Malahide? Good idea. Not the usual trip to the harbour, though, but rather a visit to Malahide Castle.

It was a popular spot today, with the car park well filled, but it's big and crowd-swallowing, so there was plenty of scope for shots of the grounds without having silly visitors getting in the way. This was actually one of the first of many, taken on the driveway on the way to the car park. And look: it's another bench, just to keep yesterday's company.
