Keystone

It's at times like this that you find out who your real friends are. Nurse Carl has been a treasure, and Derek and Alan have been great dropping in and helping out. Today I met another good friend for lunch. He sent a text on Sunday asking if I'd like to do that too help relieve the boredom and cooped-up-ness. We met for really nice pub grub in a place which changed hands a few months ago and has reinvented itself in the process. It's nominally joined the ever increasing ranks of Dublin's Polish bars, so the menu is a bit out of the ordinary (and all the better for that). The new owners have managed to transform the place with the minimum of means. mainly relying on a new exterior paint job and a de-cluttering inside. It works a treat.

I fully intended going to see the reconstructed Sea Stallion Viking ship afterwards, but the weather took a turn for the worse and I abandoned that idea. Luckily I'd managed to blip this carved keystone earlier.
