Miniature Daffodils

Though just as pretty as their big brothers these miniature daffodils are about a third of the size. Their stems are barely 4 inches tall. The advantage to a garden on the Isle of Skye is that they are far less vulnerable to the wind.

We thought they might be a little late but actually it is more that elsewhere the flowers are much earlier. So we have crocuses out too but they are all laying flat except where they have been planted under taller shrubs.

I have noted that many spring flowering shrubs have buds that are swelling up well so hopefully we shall enjoy a good show in a month or twos time.
