Footpath around the Meall

Another wet and windy day today. Roll-on the spring. We are half expecting a phonecall today so we didn't want to stray too far. Instead we walked around the town. First we went down the pier and Beaumont Crescent. Then we climbed back up the Pier Brae steps and walked the path around the Meall or Lump as many of the locals know it.

It is on the Meall that the Highland Games are held on the first Wednesday of August each year. Later we walked back along Bayfield and back home through the town.

Not an especially long walk but still enough for one day. In the photograph you see Clare walking away from me around the Lump. It is enjoyable on any day. A warm sunny day would have been best. However the tide was in as you can see and it wasn't actually raining at this time. So all in all not too bad today.
