the games we play

8:30 am and playing snakes and ladders with the weeWeir.

It's a fairly nice way to start the day, a little light counting, patience-nurturing and, of course, a dice.

I was looking after the sound at KCC, so we went up early to get set up. A few challenges, but we got there in the end. Note to self: change the battery in your acoustic guitar when you change the strings this week.

The rest of the day? I was privileged to watch the Scotland v France rugby match, spend a wee bit of time storyboarding a short film idea with some IDudes and then home for a West Wing/supper combo and an early night.

I took this shot a little hastily, but actually, I think it captures the moment. And the sheen we can put on life.

"how are you doing?"

"fine" - or the old favourite "not bad".

Sometimes honesty is hard, but in the right context, it's so worth it.

We are all broken, and I believe there's faith, hope and love enough to make something beautiful out of our brokenness.
