Civilised People don't Drink & Ride

A wall mural... well OK, it's stuck on the wall.

The message this wall mural carries is quite clear regardless of translation: Don't drink and ride.

You may think ride a motorbike yet you'd only be half correct. The vast majority of motorised two-wheeled variety are electric bikes. You find these just as often on the footpath as on the actual road. You may even see them carrying a family of four! (Now that'll definitely feature in on of my future blips)

As for cars drink driving is now taken very seriously in urban areas. Bribes here may get you off parking offences or get you a driving licence (if you know the right people).
Conversely, I'm glad to say, bribes will not get one off a drink driving offence! No matter how rich one maybe.

I pretty sure one of the reasons for the strict implementation of this law stems from a story that caused outrage in China when Li Qiming hit a woman while drink driving. He famously taunted to bystanders "Go ahead, sue me. My father is Li Gang" Want to to read more? Click here.

Update 2nd March
The 3 signs advise the public to:
Build a civilised society through good behaviour
Don't ride your bike against the traffic (like anybody takes any notice of that!)
Don't drink and drive
