Delhi Alumni

A very productive day today. We headed to the University of Delhi Campus of Open Learning at Keshav Puram Today where Mumta was our host and met with students from the current intake of one of the courses we had set up. This is the fourth intake and they are all just about finished up now, in fact they were all out on work placement and had come back in specially to see us today.

We got feedback from them how they felt the course was. The response was positive they were all enjoying it but had suggestions of a couple of small things which could be added. That was a large part of the purpose of the visit as we are keen to refine the course. We also met with one of the lecturers as well as Mumta herself and got a good idea of how things had gone as well as next steps both for the current courses and a new proposal for more courses.

After lunch we headed to the main offices of the Uni to meet with Savita, the project leader at this end who had unfortunately been unable to attend today as a senior government minister was visiting the main campus so she was already committed to attending that. Then it was back to our accommodation where they let us use the conference room and by about 7pm we had most of the guts of the curriculum issues for a new proposal hammered out.

We also got told about the recent visit by another blipper, who had beaten me to a shot and explanation of the Campus' Langur Monkey.

No time for sight seeing today then, so we had a quick trip to Khan Market to try and get some souvenirs but everywhere was just about closing so I got a few packs of tea and that was it.

Then it was back to the same place as last night for dinner.

Off to bed now ahead of an early start tomorrow.
