Back to birds

Didn't do much but go to the allotment, today. I was going to say "So far today" but I wouldn't be fooling anybody... I think a meal and a DVD are about the only things likely to happen later.

On the way home, while Meles stalked her lovely wee treecreeper, I managed to get a few shots of this Mistle Thrush (Turdus viscivorus) as it picked about on the grass.

Another of those birds that always cheers me up, for some reason...I think perhaps because I didn't see any for years.

Forgot to mention yesterday that we saw the meteorite fireball zooming south over Leith...one of the most astonishing sights that I have ever witnessed!
