Gently down the stream

Hazel catkins

What a contrast to yesterday!
Got up early and took this before work. I've had a go at catkins a couple of times this year, but this is the first one to have actually gelled for me at all (at least of those I've taken, I've seen some lovely ones that other people have blipped). I took it in a gorgeous bit of ancient woodland, near to Farley Mount, where a lot of hazel coppicing has been done for the last several hundred years.
Tomorrow I might go back for a tree or 2 if it's still like this.
Hope Monday isn't being too grim and Monday-ish for you all..
