Sett Wars

These setts in Scotland Street have always amused me. It looks as if they were laid by three different groups, each starting at the edges and resolving to meet in the middle. Only they all started laying them in different orientations.

However they do fit quite neatly, perhaps it was supposed to be like that?

I can't believe I spend time contemplating these things..
