aka: dead rose bud

i think it's the wet weather, but my rose has been dropping leaves madly this past couple of weeks while still producing loads of new buds. it's now paying the price: a couple of buds are opening, but several are withered and dead as it hasn't enough leaves to make food. i'm overloading the metaphor of course - the rose might well die, but i'm not going to - but the whole dead in parts while life goes on thing appealed today. sorry to be miserable and harp on here, but i feel the need to talk about this horrible thing that happened. you can always just look at the pic and ignore the words if you like, that's ok.
