Just Tuk Tuk into that space!

Retrospective posting for 3/3/12. Somehow the original didn't make it to publication and I've only just noticed.
We arrived at Phnom Penh an hour after leaving Bangkok, but into a country 30 years behind Thailand. Having been in Cambodia for a few days and having learned a bit about Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, I can now understand why there is this apparent time-travel aspect. This country lost so many of it's thinkers and was left with so many disheartened do-ers, that progress has been very slow. It will take some considerable time for the able to rise to the surface.

This Tuk Tuk was so lacking in power, 110cc, that I had to get out and push at one point when we had to surmount a rise over a stream / sewer.

The driving is horrendous in some ways, but this driver managed to get in front of the black 4WD on our left!
