Not your regular bank

Not your high street bank counter I agree, but this is what confronts you when you enter the HSBC Private Bank in St James's Street, London.

Tonight we had a reception there to mark the 40th anniversary of Earthwatch. That's why I call myself Earthwatcher. I'm a trustee of this charity and have been so for many years. Earthwatch is a great way to engage with the big environmental issues that are confronting our planet. I've been on some of their projects, Gill too, and they were fantastic.

It's not really about posh banks, but about getting your hands dirty on the front line of science. And I'm up for that.
