more aeronautical madness today. we were thrilled to see a pair of these bad boys flying over, apache helicopters!

our area is set to see lots of interesting stuff over the next few weeks if the papers are to be believed, all in some kind of preperation for the olyimpics, even though we are miles from where they are being held?

we hear jets or choppers coming and all step out of the unit to look for whatever it might be this time. i cant help but wonder what it must have been during the summer of 1940 when the skies would have been full of fighters, leaving trails behind them in the sky, with the guns firing etc. i was lucky enough to see 10 spitfires in the air in formation at goodwood last year, an amazing and very moving sight , and sound!
