It's a dirty job but someone's got to do it

I've just looked at other photos of dung flies on Google Images (as one does on a Friday night at dinner time) and almost every single one of them is much much better than this one but none have managed to capture the cuteness.

Maybe just they're more cute round here.

It was strangely welcome to see a fly after all the cold weather. Let's face it tramping over neat, crispy cowpats loses it's novelty after a while and knowing it's warm enough for nature to deal with everything pleases me
