profusive

I can never recall being stressed enough about the wires between brakes and levers to think it worth them being 'concealed' along the bars, beneath the bar tape. If the wires emerged from the shifters perpindicularly to their long axis it would make mounting them much more simple. Similarly if the exit point of the brake wire of the STIs was not directly adjacent to the pivot-end of the clamp then it wouldn't have to emerge between my thumb and the shifter. Further pains in arses could have been avoided if my rear mech was high-normal, but it isn't, so it would be ideal if I could have the right-hand lever mounted the other way round to this one, with the wire at the back, where it can't currently go due to the body of the STI getting in the way. PFFF.
